Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update IV available nowApril 15, 2021
Head to the store today and you can grab the free World Update bundle for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The update brings visual improvements to France, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg, which, unsurprisingly is why the updates bundle is titled FRBENELUX. World Update IV focuses on Western Europe and adds improved digital elevation data and aerial imagery for the cities listed above. Amsterdam and Paris are also receiving some visual improvements, by way of high-resolution 3D photogrammetry. You’ll also be able to access Rotterdam, Nice, and Megeve airports, which have all been hand-crafted. 100 other airports throughout Western Europe have also received visual and logistical improvements.
That’s not all — more than 100 famous landmarks and points of interest have been given a makeover, bringing a new level of detail to some of the region’s top locations, including castles, bridges, palaces, and more. Architectural elements have also been added to many of the game’s procedurally generated locations.
Last, but certainly not least, you can now enjoy two new activities. If Bush Trips into the skies of the Pyrenees or the Alps takes your fancy, then you’ll be pleased to know that as of today’s update you can try them out. You’ll also be able to tackle a new Landing Challenge at La Salette.
Don’t forget that Microsoft Flight Simulator is expected to launch on Xbox Series X|S consoles this summer. Hopefully, it won’t be long to wait until we start receiving details about it.
