Octopath Traveler makes first appearance after joining Xbox Game Pass

March 30, 2021 0 By admin

Our latest Xbox Gameplay Chart shows Square Enix’s Octopath Traveler already well into the top 40 after joining Xbox Game Pass just a few days ago, along with reappearances from Watch Dogs: Legion and Brawlhalla. Here is the top 40 Xbox Gameplay Chart for the week ending March 28th, 2021.

Chart compiled using gameplay data from over 2.5 million active Xbox accounts. Chart information is copyright TrueGaming Network. For details on how the chart is calculated, click here.

You’ll see our top ten is once again staying resolutely in place, with the only change being that Rocket League and GTA V have switched places at 5th and 6th. Rocket League Season 3 is just over a week away, so it’s possible we’ll see the game jump a little higher as more players flood back to it for the season’s new content. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has switched places with Overwatch, dropping to 17th. Don’t forget, if you were unable to complete the Ostara Festival decoration quests because of the crashing issues and Ubisoft’s temporary fix — this has now been sorted, so you should be able to finish up with the festival. Valhalla’s Wrath of the Druids expansion arrives in April, so we might see Valhalla moving further up the top 20 next month.

Ark has hopped up by two places to 21st, and when Part II of the Genesis DLC arrives in May, it may help boost Ark even more. Smite has jumped four places to 25th, most likely thanks to its Birthday Bash event, while Doom Eternal has leapt six places higher, coming in to rest at 29th, thanks to the launch of Part 2 of The Ancient Gods DLC. Doom Eternal will continue to receive updates throughout 2021, so perhaps it’ll continue to rise up the chart. Fallout 4, on the other hand, has dropped seven places to 32nd. It’s been on Xbox Game Pass for a few weeks now, so perhaps players are moving on to more recent additions, like Octopath Traveler, which makes its first appearance on our chart at 33rd after joining Xbox Game Pass a few days ago.

Rounding up the top 40 of our Xbox Gameplay Chart, we have Watch Dogs: Legion and Brawlhalla re-joining the chart at 36th and 37th respectively — Legion just had a free trial weekend — with Wreckfest dropping eight places to 40th. This week’s three disappearances are Black Ops III, ESO, and Undertale. Looking ahead, we have Outriders launching in April, along with any Xbox Game Pass additions that might be announced. Don’t forget, last week’s Xbox Indie Showcase confirmed over 20 games as arriving day one for Xbox Game Pass, so we’ve got those to look forward to, too — check out our Xbox Indie Showcase recap for more info!
